You believe arborists are professionals, arborists can make a difference, and our urban forests are an important part of the future. **About the role you’ll play** We’re looking for a **Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician** to join our growing team of tree care professionals. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in diagnosing and treating tree and shrub health issues, implementing environmentally responsible solutions, and helping our clients maintain healthy, beautiful landscapes. You will be part of a team that believes in the above values as much as you do and works every day to uphold those values. Working alongside other likeminded arborists, you will provide top quality tree care services to a wide range of clients, including residential, commercial, and municipal clients. Full-time positions are available at our Burlington office. **What you’ll be doing** - Perform inspections to identify pest, disease, and soil issues in trees and shrubs - Maintain accurate records of treatments, site visits, and recommendations - Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and team members - Assist with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies - Operate and maintain PHC equipment, including spray rigs and injection tools - Work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment **Requirements**: - Knowledge of tree/shrub species, pests, and diseases (formal education in arboriculture, horticulture, or related field is an asset) - Valid Ontario pesticide applicator license (or willingness to obtain) - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions - Valid G-class driver’s license (DZ is an asset) - ISA Certification or desire to pursue is a plus **Salary and Benefits** - Competitive salary - Health & Dental Benefits - Matching RSP Program - Individualized training allowance - Annual boot allowance - Year-round employment - The chance to make a real difference in our urban forests and green spaces - The best co-workers anyone can ask for **About Maple Hill Tree Services** Maple Hill Tree Services is a firmly established growing tree care company based in Burlington.
