**BREAKFAST ATTENDANT**

**Must be available 4-5 early mornings each week including weekends. This is a 6:00 am start time.**

**Prepare for prompt 6:30 AM opening of Breakfast Buffet**

1. Welcome every guest promptly with a smile and when possible, seat guests at an appropriate table. **Put guests at ease and make a genuine connection with each person.**

2. Greet guest with coffee and/or offer juice/ water. Describe buffet and featured items. Explain where plates are located and continental section. Answer any guest questions about the buffet.

3. Check back in with guest. Ensure guest is satisfied and has everything they need. Refill coffee, remove dirty dishes when necessary.

4. Prepare guest check accurately on POS system. Present check to guest, remember to explain the benefits of benefits of charging to their room.

5. Collect payment; cash, room charge or process credit card payment. Able to operate P.O.S.

6. Move around restaurant with sense of urgency, always aware of customer needs.

7. Ensure prompt and professional clearing and resetting of tables in order to maximize on covers and revenues.

8. Opening duties included to prepare buffet: Including stocking items from fridges, making coffee, making sure tables are set, dishes and silverware fully stocked. Food temperature's checked. Lights on. Signage accurate. TV's on news channel.

9. Follow all opening and closing procedures achieving standards as instructed. Complete daily side duties. You are required to thoroughly clean the restaurant, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping and emptying garbage.

10. Use the glass washer during shift as needed.

11. Answer the telephone promptly and courteously, accepting table reservations, room service/take-out orders and recording/passing on messages in line with property policy.

12. Prepare/set up and have ready room service trays so they are available when needed.

13. Hall checks to collect dishes to be done twice on each shift.

14. Additional duties: Be competent in the setting up/service/clearing of food and beverage as applicable to meeting rooms/functions ensuring all items are recorded/charged

15. Assist banqueting department when asked.

16. Minimize breakage by neat and safe stacking of items at the bussing/ service area or dishwashing area in line with standards

17. Be familiar with our ONE REWARDS Loyalty program for guests.

18. Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

19. Your appearance must be professional. Hair neat, uniform is clean and pressed including name tag. Black dress shirt and black dress pants required. Dark shoes. **Your appearance makes the first impression to our guests.**
