**This position is for Citizens or Permanent residents only.**

This Position span all zones and include roles in landscaping, general maintenance/labour, and cleaning. Applicants should be reliable, responsible, conscientious, flexible to work in various roles throughout the season, and able to work effectively both individually and as part of a team. Work is physically demanding and primarily outdoors.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 6-8 months

Hours: 37 to 44 hours per week
- Ability to communicate effectively in both languages (oral; English and French).
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Commercial mowing and maintenance projects
- Start and finish each day at our office in Dieppe, NB.

**Work Site Environment**
- Outdoor and Indoor environment
- Commercial Properties and construction/work sites

**Work Setting**
- Landscape and light construction laborer
- Various locations
- Lawn maintenance
- Repetitive tasks
- Remove weeds and unwanted growth
- Upkeep of commercial properties through preventive and reactive maintenance
- Cleaning of commercial properties and new construction
- Light duty task such as: installing doorknobs, painting, sanding, etc.
- Basic knowledge of power tools and hand tools

**Tasks**

To provide assistance to operators on landscape sites such as:

- Load and wheelbarrow debris from site
- Physical tasks may include: lifting, shovelling, raking, digging, demolition, Sweeping, bending and twisting, installing and removing brick, laying sod, tilling and more.
- Will train to operate tools and equipment.
- Be able to follow instruction, possess the will to learn and ask questions. Must be reliable and respectful to others.

**Types of Tools and Equipment Used**
- Industrial/commercial walk behind mowers (All types)
- Whipper snipper
- Leaf blower
- Aerator
- Wheelbarrow
- Hydro seeder
- Hand tools (Rakes, weeding tools, shovels, etc.)

**Required Competencies**:

- 1 years' experience landscape maintenance/other construction experience outdoors is an asset but not required.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean abstract is required.
- Ability to drive a truck and trailer.
- Hardworking, self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic
- Must be task oriented and able to work with mínimal supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoy working outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
- Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
