Quality Assurance Specialist

POSITION SCOPE:
The **Quality Claims Specialist** is responsible for handling of quality issues both externally (i.e. Customer Claims, etc.) and internally (i.e. Inspection non-conformance resolutions, Deliver damage investigations, etc.). This involves receiving the claim/complaint from various sources, gathering and logging all pertinent information, investigating the claim, and determining the correct resolution required. Hands on is required in some situations with regards to working on the floor with the Inspection Team as needed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Managing all Customer Concerns in a timely, efficient manner, focusing on improving the Customer Experience
- Gathering all related and pertinent information for internal and external issues
- Ensuring complaints and claims are logged into SAP
- Ensuring a timely and professional response to submitted customer claims
- Completing the investigation of claims to verify and confirm validity
- Notifying all applicable parties of the results of the investigation as well as providing the next steps required
- Coordinating the additional activities required by our internal teams to resolve customer claims (returns, sorts, order entry / cancellation, transportation, finance, etc).
- Assist in Quality Inspections as required (approving product for release, dispositioning product for further actions, such as sorts) in a warehouse environment
- Assist the Warehouse team in the resolution of material handling related claims, such as incorrect shipped material, shipping damage, incorrect quantities, etc., and provide key data for decision making and incentive programs.
- Track and provide monthly analysis as to the status of all claims.
- Schedule and/or complete onsite visits with regards to Customer inquiries and concerns, including complete detailed reports summarizing all findings and observations
- Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- College Diploma or University Degree in a related area of study preferred
- 2-4 years’ experience in similar capacity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Project management experience preferred
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience working with customers/manufacturers/suppliers
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to collect and interpret Statistical and Product related data
- QM - SAP
- Hands on attitude
- Supervisory skills
- ISO and internal / external auditing experience is an asset
- Experience trouble shooting / problem solving
- Highly organized

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Most work is performed in a standard office environment with limited exposure to adverse conditions or health and safety risks
- Position requires low level of sustained visual attention, moderate manual dexterity on a regular basis with sitting at length
