**Job description**

Established in 2008 Specialized Metal Fabricators has become one of the industry's leading manufacturers of architectural products. We are a custom sheet metal fabrication shop. Focusing primarily on the architectural industry we excel at providing quality service and exceptionally quick turnaround times for all projects big or small.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct incoming material inspections by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Perform in-process inspections of sheet metal parts and assemblies to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Approve finished products by conducting final inspections, confirming specifications and conducting visual and measurement tests.
- Identify and document any non-conformances or defects in materials, processes or products.
- Work with the production team to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning properly.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality and efficiency of the manufacturing process.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in quality control.
- Accomplish quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on sheet metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles and techniques, including familiarity with inspection tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and customer specifications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy in inspection and documentation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment, have a strong work ethic, and be willing to learn.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Woodbridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Metal Fabrication Quality Control: 2 years (preferred)
- ISO9001: 1 year (preferred)
- Sheet Metal Fabrication: 2 years (preferred)
