The Human Resources Specialist will report to the National Human Resources Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager. The schedule is fully in-office, Monday to Friday (with the possibility of schedule changes to include one weekend day).

**Role Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with the development and implementing of HR policies and procedures in alignment with organizational goals and legal regulations.
- Conduct employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records.
- Provide guidance and support to members of the HR team.
- Administer employee benefits programs and facilitate open enrollment processes.
- Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Participate in and lead investigations regarding employee complaints, employment/labour standards cases, and internal compliance audits.
- Participate in and lead occupational health and safety investigations and reports.
- Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training and development needs for employees.
- Process employees’ queries and respond promptly.
- Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in HR to ensure the organization remains competitive.
- Oversee HR record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist or in a similar HR role.
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
