Architectural Drafter/ Technician

Vancouver, Canada Tony Osborn Architecture + Design Inc. Full time

Tony Osborn Architecture + Design is searching for an **Architectural Drafter/ Technician (Jr. Project Manager)** to join our team.

Who are we looking for?

Our new team member will be responsible for the preparation of complete drawing sets for approvals and construction on a range of mostly small-scale projects. This work will include site documentation, coordination with consultants’ drawings and review of your own work for quality control and consistency with office standards. A familiarity with preparation of architectural drawing sets is important, as well as the ability to work independently and manage your own time.

We need someone with a certificate, degree or diploma in architectural drafting or technology, who has at least one year of local experience within an architectural or residential design office, and who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. You should have a basic working knowledge of the VBBL and BCBC.

Our office uses Revit almost exclusively, so you’ll need to be fully competent with it, as well as with Microsoft Office. Some knowledge of SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite wouldn’t hurt either.

Most importantly, you’ll be given a lot of independence to produce drawing sets and coordinate the approvals process for several projects - mostly residential renovations. This requires you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, to be very organized, and to have exceptional time management skills as this role will require management of multiple small-scale projects at any time.

Here comes the boilerplate: You must be registered with the AIBC, or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia.
