**About Us**

The Hive Mental Health Services is an expanding private practice in Saskatoon focused on whole-person wellness, practical support, and community connection. We host community events such as warm-meal nights, partner with local organizations, and aim to make mental health care approachable and accessible.

We are looking for counsellors who are confident, self-sufficient, and experienced in providing strong clinical care within a private-practice setting.

**Position Overview**

We are seeking experienced counsellors to join our team on a part-time or casual basis. Only applicants with **previous formal counselling experience** will be considered.

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct client intake, assessment, and case planning
- Provide counselling to adults, couples, youth, and families
- Provide couples counselling using evidence-informed approaches
- Keep clinical notes updated **weekly**:

- Manage **your own billing** through Jane to:

- Private insurance providers
- NIHB
- Victim Services
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date client schedule
- Participate in **social media content**, both group-based and individual (e.g., educational posts, reels, photos, blogs)
- Attend **monthly meetings**:

- Attend **clinic events** (warm meal nights, tradeshows, community engagement opportunities)
- Work self-sufficiently with strong judgment and decision-making capabilities
- Maintain awareness of community resources and offer appropriate referrals

**Qualifications**
- **BSW or MSW**:

- Must be registered with **SASW**:

- Must carry **liability insurance**:

- **Previous formal counselling experience** is required
- **Previous couples counselling experience** is required
- Must understand the general expectations and workflow of private practice
- Must be able to work a mixture of **days, evenings, and weekends**:

- Comfortable working independently with mínimal oversight
- Experience with children or youth is an asset

**Skills**
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Skilled decision-making and clinical judgement
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Professional, empathetic, and able to navigate client concerns
- Knowledge of community resources and common mental-health concerns

**Client Demographics**

Clients present with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, anger, overstimulation, trauma, communication breakdowns, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and relationship issues.

**Compensation**

Compensation is based on a **contract split**, determined by several factors, including:

- Whether you bring an existing caseload
- Whether you work with couples
- Whether you hold a **BSW or MSW**:

- Your previous counselling experience
- Range of client populations served
