**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Assess clients' needs through interviews, observations, and data collection.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for children and families.
- Provide counseling and support to patients dealing with various emotional and psychological issues.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary services.
- Conduct research on best practices in social work, particularly in pediatrics and special education.
- Stay informed about medical terminology relevant to patient care.

**Skills**
- Strong background in patient care.
- Experience working with children, youth, and adults understanding their unique needs and challenges.
- Proficiency in data collection methods for effective case management.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to social work practices.
- Knowledge of research methodologies applicable to social work, especially in pediatrics.
- Ability to navigate the complexities of special education systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and professionals.
- Empathy, patience, and strong problem-solving skills to support clients effectively.
