**FINANCE ASSOCIATE**
**Full-Time Contract (12 months)**
**Rate $32.37/hr**
**About the Role**:We are currently seeking a Finance Associate with strong bookkeeping experience to join our dedicated team. If you are a detail-driven individual who brings a broad range of experience, thrives in a collaborative setting and is passionate about supporting meaningful work, we’d love to hear from you. Reporting to the Executive Director of Finance and Investments, Treasurer (or designate), the Finance Associate will contribute to the smooth operation of our finance department. You will work closely with an integrated team to support a wide range of financial functions across our diverse organization. Key responsibilities will include supporting general ledger operations, administrative and backup support, accounts payable with accuracy and efficiency, performing account and bank reconciliations, validating and reviewing financial data for accuracy and completeness and assisting with tax preparation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or the equivalent in experience.
- Progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office; Sage experience is an asset.
- Familiarity with Canadian regulations for charities and non-profits is a plus.
- High-level of initiative and self-direction with proven problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal abilities.
- Adaptability to shifting priorities based on operational requirements.
**Additional Requirements**:
- A recent (within 6 months) police record check will be required.
- We have a mandatory vaccination and immunization policy in effect. Any offer of employment will be conditional on providing proof of vaccination in accordance with our policy.
