The Casual Part time Site Services position's primary responsibility is to issue tools and PPE to the workers while maintaining stock levels within the crib. There is also a warehouse component to the job where the Blue Boxes reside as well as other large items unique to that part of the plant. They have computer access and work with PCTC as well as SAP to ensure proper tracking of items.
Issuing tools, equipment, and PPE
- Organize tool crib for efficiency
- Scan employee barcodes and crib barcoded items
- Ensure items and employees have barcodes (printing barcodes)
- Check tool and equipment condition upon return, issue for repair or cleaning
- Check expiry dates on relevant items and send out if needed
- Confirm location for stock in SAP
Marshal and Issue Blue Boxes
- Receive Blue Boxes from 521 and confirm contents with packing slip
- Marshal boxes to racking and update location in SAP
- Create Blue Box (PMO) in PCTC, add any specialty tools
- Update Kit Tracker
- Scan Employee barcode and attach Blue Box
- Return Blue Box with scan and update PCTC
- Update the Kit Tracker, and include any unused materials
- Request transport for empty Blue Boxes
Manage Inventory Levels on Barcoded Items
- Ensure all items are scanned
- Perform counts to ensure PCTC matches the shelf
- Initiate orders in PCTC
- Make requests for changes to order controls
- Update PCTC stock levels with manually signed out items
- Add and delete inventory items as per Garry Bird
- Receive stock, confirm quantities with packing slip
- Load Shelves and keep organized
House Keeping
- Keep crib counter area organized and clean
- Keep indoor walkways and racking area clean
- Ensure all returned tools are put away
- Clean floors with walk behind mop
- Empty garbage’s and recycling
