Concrete Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Material Technician to join our team and help ensure the quality of our materials meets industry standards.
As a Concrete Material Technician, you will be responsible for conducting various tests on concrete and aggregate materials to ensure they meet required specifications. Your role will involve quality control and compliance testing, sampling, and data analysis in a lab environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform routine tests on concrete, aggregate, and raw materials, including compressive strength, slump, air content, density, and moisture testing.
- Collect samples from production lines and sites to ensure product compliance with standards.
- Prepare and maintain test reports and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
- Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and instruments.
- Monitor product quality during manufacturing and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to material performance.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the lab.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production and quality goals.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a concrete lab environment.
- CCIL certification for conducting concrete and aggregate testing is an asset.
- Knowledge of industry standards and practices for concrete quality testing (ASTM, CSA, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standardized testing procedures.
- Proficient in data analysis and report writing.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with lab safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a plant environment and standing for long hours
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 23 Kg
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Overtime pay
