Brawn Construction provides general contracting services, specializing in commercial and institutional fit-ups and renovations. Some of our clients include the Federal Government, City of Ottawa, private businesses and retail customers.

Job Summary:
Brawn Construction is searching for a Skilled Labourer/Carpenter to join our talented and growing team. The environment is fast-paced and suited for those who like to take charge. A Valid G-class Drivers license is required for this role.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Sub-trades, and Customers.
- Review plans and ensuring a thorough understanding of project scope and specifications.
- Plan, organize, and execute the work to fit within project timelines.
- Build and maintain positive and trusting relationships with clients and sub-trades.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
- Pick up and transport material to job sites across the city.
- Ensure safety standards are being adhered and report concerns to supervisor.
- Follow instructions from Site Supervisor to perform manual labour tasks.

Job Requirements:

- 2-4 years of commercial carpentry experience.
- Valid G class drivers license and clean driving record.
- Post secondary education.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency using power tools.
- Self directed with ability to work and think independently as well as be a team player and take direction from multiple site supervisors on various projects.
- Ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities.
- Secret Clearance or ability to obtain Secret Clearance with PWGSC.
- Safety Certifications (WHMIS, Working At Heights, etc).
- Excellent English communication in skills.
- Commercial experience is preferred

Our office is in Carlington and our projects are based all around the city of Ottawa.
