Chef - Hot Pot Specialist

**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare, cook, and refine various types of hot pot broths, ensuring flavour balance, quality and consistency.
- Develop and adapt broth recipes that meet current trends and preferences in hot pot cuisine.
- Monitor broth ingredients and cooking ratios, adjusting as necessary to maintain authenticity and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and train a team of kitchen staff in hot pot broth preparation, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards and food safety regulations.
- Able to introduce new and innovative broth flavours, catering to the latest hot pot trends and customer demands.
- Manage kitchen inventory related to broth ingredients and ensure freshness and quality in all prepared broths.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe kitchen environment, ensuring all health and safety guidelines are met.
**Requirements**:
- **Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hot pot kitchen** or similar environment, with expertise in broth preparation and flavour crafting.
- In-depth knowledge of hot pot ingredients, flavour profiles and preparation methods.
- **Proven ability to create well-balanced, popular hot pot broths, with a strong understanding of broth ratios and seasoning.**:
- Experience leading and training kitchen staff is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to new recipes and culinary trends.
- Passionate about hot pot cuisine and dedicated to delivering high-quality, authentic flavours.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Culinary certification or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with local and international hot pot trends and ingredients.
- Ability to handle high-volume broth production while maintaining consistency and flavour integrity.
**Working Conditions**:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
