**Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist -St. Catherine's/Hamilton, Ontario**

We are growing our team of experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists If you are passionate about empowering clients, building employability skills, and providing the support they need to successfully engage in vocational pursuits, we want to hear from you. Reporting to the Vocational Rehabilitation Service Lead, you will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, and with employers and clients to improve access to employment opportunities for your clients.

The coverage area for this role is St. Catherine's/Hamilton and surrounding areas. This is a meaningful opportunity to work directly with clients who have barrier(s) to employment and who are seeking reintegration into the workforce. You will be responsible for assessing and identifying individual obstacles to employment and developing a customized employment plan to support a return to employment outcome.

**Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day**
- **Assess and plan**. You will manage and prioritize a caseload efficiently and effectively. You will utilize a client-centered approach to identify employment barriers, goals, and service needs to develop customized employment plans
- **Deliver and evaluate** employment plans. You will work with clients, teaching them the skills required to research, interview for, and secure employment. You will focus on both practical and soft skills, including:

- **Build out** employer contacts, create opportunities, and support placements. Working in close partnership with employers in a range of sectors you have researched and connected with.
- **Communicate**. You will foster trusting and reliable relationships with both stakeholders and clients, maintaining open and transparent lines of communication. You will participate in team meetings and case reviews. You will perform regular, timely submission of reporting

**What you need to be successful**
- The education. You have post-secondary education in any field. Having one or working towards the completion of one of the following qualifications, would be considered an asset:

- Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) designation through the Canadian Association of Rehabilitation
- Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CCRC)
- Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP)
- Certified Career Development Practitioner (CCDP)
- Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP)
- Return to Work Disability Manager (RTWDM)
