**Position Summary**: The Distribution Logistics Manager will support various aspects of the RFDA’s shipping and receiving logistics, compliance reporting, and member engagement. This position offers practical experience in logistics coordination, compliance processes and data management. The Distribution Logistics Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager, Warehouse Manager and other staff to ensure efficient operations and accurate reporting. This position will help ensure that northern communities disproportionately affected by food insecurity will have timely deliveries and expectations around emergency food options.

**Responsibilities**:
**Distribution and Logistics**
- Stay informed with current warehouse inventories, and scheduled deliveries
- Prepare or assist with regional shipping manifests of food products
- Assist with coordinating and optimizing delivery schedules
- Communicate with regional members as well as Indigenous Nations regarding logistics
- Assist with implementation of inventory system and resource tracking
- Collaborate with Operations Manager to evaluate current and new supply and delivery streams to improve program efficiency
- Coordinate with trucking/airline providers to maximize scheduling efficiency (e.g., optimizing load size, seek load sharing opportunities)

**Reporting and Compliance**
- Support with reporting requirements and verify data for various stakeholders (Feed Ontario, Food Banks Canada, Second Harvest, SNAP, Link2Feed and other relevant reporting)
- Support the development and maintenance of a detailed delivery and reporting calendar
- Create templates and checklists for reporting compliance
- Support the preparation of daily and weekly delivery reports
- Track changes to community capacities: storage, leadership, demographics, funding

**Other Duties**
- Remain current with compliance, regulations, policies and best practices
- Participate in committee work (i.e. joint health and safety committee)
- Occasionally fill in for other staff roles
- Various other duties as role develops

**Qualifications**
- Education or relevant experience in business, logistics, inventory management, etc.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer skills: all Microsoft Office products, and experience with database management or inventory software an asset

**Personal Suitability**
- Must undergo policy security check
- Friendly and patient customer service skills are essential
- Must be willing to work in a team-supported environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: $66,560.00 per year

Flexible language requirement:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
