**Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Western Hard Chrome** Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with experience in a fast-paced industrial environment? Western Hard Chrome, a respected leader in industrial services, is seeking a **Shipping & Receiving Clerk** to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. In this role, you'll be a key player in our operations, ensuring products are handled accurately and efficiently from the moment they arrive to the moment they are shipped out. **What You'll Do** - **Process and Manage Shipments**: You'll accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments, managing all documentation and ensuring timely delivery. This includes creating and entering customer receipts and shipments into our ERP system. - **Maintain Inventory**: You'll perform shipping and receiving operations for a variety of parts and products, verifying and maintaining detailed records. You'll also reconcile variances and manage consumable inventory within the ERP system. - **Ensure Quality**: You will be responsible for unpacking, packing, and visually inspecting all shipments to ensure they meet our high quality standards and customer requirements. You'll also document any discrepancies or anomalies. - **Coordinate Logistics**: You will communicate directly with trucking companies, carriers, and customer contacts to ensure all shipments are processed on time and to the satisfaction of our clients. - **Operate Equipment**: You'll safely operate forklifts, cranes, carts, and dollies to efficiently move, load, and store materials. - **Support Internal Teams**: You will work closely with other departments to transfer parts and products as needed, helping to ensure production schedules are met. - **Improve Processes**: You'll have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping to create and revise procedures for greater efficiency. - **Order Fulfillment**: Consistently demonstrate accurate order-picking, packing, and storing of all parts and products. - **Customer Service**: Provide excellent customer service to customers, vendors, and drivers. - **Safety & Compliance**: Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by strictly following WHC policies and procedures and complying with all legal regulations. **What We're Looking For** - **Experience**: At least two years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing setting. - **Education**: A High School Diploma or GED. - **Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills, a knack for detail, and a positive, "can-do" attitude. - **Availability**: Must be available to work a day shift, with the flexibility to work overtime, evening shifts, or on weekends as needed. - **Bonus Qualifications**: Forklift certification and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel are a plus. **Compensation & Benefits** - **Hourly Rate**: We offer a competitive hourly wage of **$24.00 to $26.00 CAD**, based on experience and relevant qualifications. - **Additional Pay**: Opportunity for overtime pay. - **Comprehensive Benefits**: Our benefits package includes dental care, extended health care, vision care, an employee assistance program, and paid time off. - **Work Details**: This is a full-time position with a typical schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed.
