Shippers & Receivers
Seasonal Contract, Full Time

**About the Job**:
Our Shippers & Receivers are responsible for the preparation and shipment of live goods to our Garden Centres and external guests, while also receiving and verifying inbound shipments from external vendors.

These seasonal full-time positions are available at our Distribution facility in Georgetown and our nearby Norval Farm, and require the ability to work outdoors in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy.

**Your Accountabilities**:

- Working in a crew of 3 to 6 people
- Assembling and preparing orders for shipment
- Receiving inbound shipments of live goods
- Loading and unloading of trucks
- Handling of paperwork in the shipping and receiving process
- Ensuring that general maintenance and housekeeping of the loading dock is maintained at a high standard
- Contribute to a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety best practices, hazard reporting, and leading by example
- Assist with other crews when required

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Highly adaptable with great attention to detail
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive team environment
- Ability to work within deadlines and effectively communicate with staff and management
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow direction and take initiative when needed, working both independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable and willing to learn
- Punctual and dependable, and highly valuing honesty, integrity, and authenticity
- Availability to work full-time from Monday-Friday, with some Saturday shifts required during our peak season
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and willing to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Forklift experience is an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Responsible for own transportation to and from the job site located in a rural area
