**POSITION**: 2- Waste Management Environmental Student (Competition #2025-22)

**LOCATION**: Public Works Department - Waste Management Facility, Salford

**EMPLOYMENT STATUS**: Temporary Full-Time (April 31, 2025 - Aug 29, 2025)

**HOURS OF WORK**: Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. (40hrs/week)
- Students may be required to work the occasional Saturday; this will still result in a 40-hour work week

**REPORTING TO**: Coordinator of Waste Management

**UNION AFFILIATION**:Non-union

**WAGE RANGE**: 2025 summer student rate: $18.00/hr

Lawn maintenance, painting, litter picking, deliveries, driving small to medium sized equipment (zero turn lawnmowers and tractor mower), performing curbside audits and assisting with customer service requests. Working mostly outdoors.

Note: This position may require you to come into contact with non-threatening wildlife, such as snakes and mice.

**QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS**:

- To be considered for a student position, you must currently be enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the fall of 2025.
- G2 or G driver’s license, access to a vehicle and clean driving record
- You are currently enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and will be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the fall of 2025
- Your driving record from last year is still acceptable (if applicable)
