**Health & Safety Specialist (Fleet)**
- Summary: _

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Fleet Operations, and following the Corporate Health & Safety strategy, this role will assist with the implementation and on-going administration of the occupational health and safety programs, and promote health and safety awareness across Automotive. This role will focus on injury prevention, lead the workplace Joint Health and Safety Committee for Fleet and ASC, and aid in investigating and reporting workplace injuries and incidents, including recommendations to prevent reoccurrences. Creates GRTW plans for all injuries and develops safe work procedures for Fleet, safety reports, maintains appropriate records, and interprets WCB Act and OHS Regulation and makes recommendations to ensure compliance. Is responsible for all Investigations, NOGGIN process champion, Work Safe compliance and leading COR certification for the CAO Division.

**Coordination & Compliance / Fleet Safety Committee and First Aid across Automotive**
- COR Compliance and future certification across Automotive
- Safety Officer for BCAA’s Claims Disaster Response Team
- BCAA Representative:

- Work Zone Safety Alliance Committee
- Slow Down Move Over Campaigns
- Winter Driving Safety Alliance
- Reimbursement of Benefits Agreements
- Books Monthly Meetings
- Chairs Meetings (Fleet & ASC Combined)
- Ensures meetings meet the WorkSafe Requirements for Joint Health and Safety Committees
- Ensures items are actioned and minutes are taken and posted
- First Aid Level 2
- First Response to Depot Injuries
- Restocking and Inspections of First Aid Room Equipment/Supplies
- Injury Documentation
- Completion of First Aid Records
- WorkSafe BC Form 7’s
- Incident Investigations
- Reimbursement of Benefits Agreements
- Ensures that that Fleet are in compliance with WorkSafe Requirements at all times

**Automotive WorkSafe Leaves & Investigations**
- Leads all accident investigation (Fleet), monthly inspections, risk assessments and internal audits for Fleet and keeps the Corporate Safety role in P&D fully up to date
- NOGGIN Expert & utilization
- Total Loss Management
- Reimbursement of Benefits Agreements
- Works with Corporate Safety contact to ensure that prevention measures to prevent future leaves are being implemented and new ideas are being brought forward to improve number of leaves and leave duration
- Collaborates with management to determine possible roles that could be a temporary accommodation when employee is on a WCB leave
- Provides ideas and suggestions for wellness initiatives that may assist the from the prevention side
- Follows-up to ensure that all paperwork is completed (as above) should an incident take place

**Health and Safety Procedures & Training across Automotive & Tow Partners**
- New Hire Health & Safety Orientation’s
- Maintains the Health & Safety Procedures for both Fleet to they are kept up to date and are in alignment with the current training practices. Shares knowledge with ASC
- Develops and implements annual safety (Procedure) sign off for Fleet
- Provides updated materials to Corporate Safety role to ensure they are in alignment Corporately before implementation
- Develops, creates and proactively plans and implements Fleet Training materials that align with overall Corporate Health and Wellness Strategies (dotted line to P&D Corporate Health and Safety), for example programs for hearing loss, ergonomics, and Hazardous Materials Prevention. Performs this in conjunction with the Corporate Health and Safety role (P&D) to ensure alignment with Corporate Strategy and to leverage Corporate Safety resources
