Appliance Repair Technician
- Freelance Provider Role Description

Links2Care’s Home Maintenance & Repair Referral Program supports adults with disabilities and seniors aged 65+ in Halton region, Mississauga, and South Etobicoke by connecting them with dependable, freelance providers offering affordable residential appliance repair services.

As an Appliance Repair Technician participating in Links2Care’s Home Maintenance & Repair Referral program, you will receive client referrals from the Program Leader and be responsible for coordinating services directly in your selected designated areas: Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills, Mississauga, or South Etobicoke. Service details and payment arrangements are made directly between providers and clients.

This role is ideal for small businesses who enjoy working with seniors and making a positive impact in their community.

Key Responsibilities
- Contact referred clients directly to coordinate services.
- Review appliance repair task requirements and provide service estimates to clients.
- Deliver residential plumbing services using your own tools and equipment.
- Respond to client communications in a timely and professional manner.

Required Qualifications
- Proven knowledge of appliance repair and home maintenance techniques.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Operate as small business within the designated service areas of Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills, Mississauga, or South Etobicoke.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Valid Appliance Repair Technician Certificate of Completion.
- Valid Gas 2 License (administered by Technical Safety Standards Authority - TSSA)
- Current liability insurance.
- Completion of vulnerable sector screening.

Skills and Experience
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Reliable and accountable to client commitments.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working in a variety of home environments, including physically demanding conditions.

Additional Information
- This work may involve physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in varying weather conditions.
- Links2Care acts solely as a referral service and is not liable for injuries or damage incurred during service delivery.
- Providers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any required licenses should regulations change.

**Job Types**: Casual, Freelance

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Gas 2 license (required)

Work Location: On the road
