**About us**:
Position summary:
We are looking for CYW(s) to join our team and be part of our staffing for ongoing opportunities.

Duties (include but are not limited to):

- Provide in-home visits and manage each client’s unique needs
- Provide treatment to clients who present with autism spectrum disorders and/or a variety of other developmental delays or special needs of all ages (children, teenager, adult and/or seniors)
- Ensure that the rights of the youth and family are respected and addressed in accordance with legislation and standards, policies, and procedures
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of clients
- Provide one-to-one companionship to clients to positively impact their mental, emotional, spiritual and/or physical well being and social development
- Manage difficult behaviors and/or complex circumstances with the support of an multidisciplinary team of staff
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with families by providing ongoing support
- Monitor client’s progress, evaluate the effectiveness of all appropriate interventions and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
- Identify, document and report any significant changes or concerns of the child to the lead nurse or management
- Identify concerns or issues that require reporting to various individuals including management, CAS, police, or other authorities as appropriate
- Lead, develop and implement activities of local points of interests

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Child and Youth Practitioner Diploma or Developmental Services Worker Diploma (from a recognized Community College or University)
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience working as a CYP or DSW (preferred)
- Training and Certification (i.e. Triple P) an asset
- Understanding of mental health issues and appropriate therapeutic response
- Strong ability to develop rapport and trusting relationships with youth and families
- Experience in appropriate goal setting, and teaching of emotion regulation
- Ability to respond to crisis and post-crisis situations
- Must have valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Advanced proficiency in oral and written communication skills in English is essential
- Valid First Aid (level C) Certification and CPR
- Current N95 mask fit
- CPIC with vulnerable sector check within the last 6 months
- Professional liability insurance coverage
- Ability to work independently and to remain accountable
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate strong assessment and observation skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks as required to complete personal care and assistance
