As we continue to build our team in Merritt, we currently have opportunities for detailed, focused, and technical minded individuals to join our Operations team as a production worker or machine operator. You will work a day shift schedule, Monday to Friday, with overtime available as required by production needs. On-the-job training is provided in a friendly, team-minded environment.

**Some of the responsibilities and qualifications for this role include**:

- Crosstrain at various workstations to be able to rotate jobs to build a cohesive team focused on teamwork, problem-solving and continuous improvement
- Follow daily job travelers to ensure orders are complete
- Assist with the Total Preventative Maintenance program for the machine
- Ensure that safety policies are followed by leading by example
- Maintain quality workmanship by following Standard Operating Procedures and quality standards
- Assist with tracking data and information in computer system
- Physical activities include walking, standing, kneeling, bending, lifting (up to 50lbs), reaching, using arms/hands to operate equipment, visually distinguishing colors
- Required to wear a hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection at all times and a respirator (which requires an employee to be clean-shaven) when needed for specific jobs
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude with basic maintenance experience
- Strong numerical and mathematical skills
- Comfortable using computers for entering data and recording information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts
- Experience completing quality checks, with an eye for detail to create products that meet customer expectations
- Experience operating heavily automated production equipment would be an asset
- Basic concrete/precast knowledge an asset
