**Community Disability Support Worker**

Days, with some evenings and weekends

**Requirements**:
Drivers license and reliable vehicle with proof of 2 million liability coverage and vehicle registration.

Current and clear vulnerable sector and criminal record check

CPR/First Aid

Ability to work a variety of shifts including days with some evenings, weekends.

Good communication and computer skills would be an asset.

**Responsibilities**:
Ensure individuals have adequate and necessary support while focusing on skill development and independence.

Participation with the individual and their support network as appropriate to foster success.

Flexible and adaptable to support the ongoing needs of the individuals.

Making of appointments, transportation, and accompaniment if necessary

Accurate and respectful documentation

General household duties including cleaning to specified standards, shopping, budgeting, and preparation of nutritious meals

Actively engage and mentor while in the community to model behavior that aligns with values, policies, culture and procedures associated with FFRA

Create and maintain professional relationships with the individuals to ensure they are included in the decision making process

Support the individual in all aspects of person care while always ensuring the maintenance of their dignity and privacy.

Behavior tracking, incident reporting, completion of daily log notes

Medication administration

**Additional expectations**:
Participation alongside the individual being supported and taking part in agency events and other activities such as swimming, bowing and outdoor activities

Attend team, agency, and committee meetings as scheduling permits.

Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals, co-workers, guardians, work and volunteer placements, agency, and all other stakeholders.

Maintain high ethical and professional standards and work together as a team at all times

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
