**Responsibilities**:
- To support the mission, vision and values of the company by providing strong leadership. Leadership that supports the development of a workplace culture where people feel valued, capable and competent to do their job well and want to stay with the company
- Work effectively with all key stakeholders by collaborating on issues; communicating well where others are impacted, include others in discussion and work through personal issues in a way that strengthens working relationships
- To build strong and lasting relationships with our retail, professional and commercial customers
- To ensure that the store is maximizing all sales opportunities
- Motivate and influence sales performance with positive, specific feedback and recognition
- Increase sales and margin with add on sales and up selling techniques
- Lead by example and initiate contact with every customer. Guide customers to departments and provide product info and educate on services offered
- To resolve escalated customer issues patiently and in a way that strengthens the relationship
- To make decisions that are in the best interests of the company AND the customer
- Promote and network locally to generate new business or talented staff for the store
- Work within the communities Moffatt serves to strengthen local relationships
- Assist in retail and contractor sales support; special order products, site visits (if necessary)
- Provide clear expectations and directions so employees feel informed and prepared to do their jobs well
- Update HR department with necessary documentation or information on new hires (training required etc.)
- Develop the store leadership team to maximize their individual and team contributions. Includes training, motivating, and coaching.
- Participates in regular professional development and training.
- To train (or arrange to train) and develop new and existing staff to be highly competent in their areas of responsibility and to have a basic knowledge of other key areas of the store
- Participate regularly in professional development and/or training provided through the company or mandated by the company
- Ensure team has completed all necessary training in a timely manner (new training, Health and safety, vehicle/equipment training)
- To recognize when staff may require additional training support in order to remain current on the latest product or and/or inventory updates
- Conduct store meetings to review state of business, direction of business, training etc.
- Attend site visits, where necessary, with team members when bigger issues with customers arise (problem with product or install)
- To provide a work schedule on time providing minimum of 2weeks’ notice and accurately reflects requested days off and vacation time allotted
- To ensure all payroll records are accurate before submitting
- PO approval for all orders generated by team (special order and regular stock)
