**Overview**

**Duties**
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu plans.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and high-quality food presentation.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Cook in an African restaurant or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
