**Position Summary**:
The Manager, Data Analytics and Reporting is responsible for overseeing all aspects of program-related reporting and analytics operations in Health Benefits. The Manager ensures effective implementation of analytical models, dashboards and reports; implements leading-edge data analytics that support efficient and effective service delivery; supports program expenditure management; and, provides critical health data reporting to inform decision making. The position provides leadership and direction to the data analytics team by ensuring creative, insightful and accurate completion of deliverables while maintaining a high standard of service to internal data consumers.

The Manager, Data Analytics and Reporting interfaces with various internal stakeholders to provide interactive dashboards, metrics, performance indicators and other ad hoc analytical reports using Health Benefit claims data, expenditure data, call centre data, and other sources as required. The position establishes and implement procedures and guidelines, lead data quality audits, and help architect enhancements to data marts and other sources, with the goal to consistently improve data quality, increase efficiency and effectiveness, and maximize stakeholder satisfaction with data analytics services.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provides leadership, operational management, and guidance to the data analytics team by establishing priorities and ensuring prompt and accurate completion of operational activities that meet the requirements of assigned tasks and projects.
- Evaluates individual and team performance and maintains department standard and procedures.
- Supports and guides the development of analyst team members, including goal setting, coaching, mentorship, talent development, performance evaluation and recruitment.
- Collaborates with program leaders, administrators and senior management to solve complex problems by analyzing medium to large health and wellness data sets and makes recommendations using data analytics models to inform FNHA strategic papers, presentations and briefings.
- Oversee the design, construction and ongoing maintenance of dashboards and reports which enables stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions.
- Oversees the design, implementation and enhancement of departmental and organizational performance indicators and metrics.
- Oversees the design and implementation of analytical models using regression, classification and other algorithms to support quantitative program analysis, health measurement and service delivery.
- Prepares and presents complex datasets, analytical reports and cost analyses (both descriptive and inferential) to senior management, program experts and health and wellness system partners.
- Provides managerial oversight to the data analytics team in designing and performing experiments / hypothesis testing to predict future results and outcomes relating to complex issues such as future service demand, budget forecasting, and/or health risks among benefit claimants.
- Demonstrates project management excellence and methodologies as a means to ensure successful completion of project components and deliverables, using a combination agile and traditional project management methods.
- Develops, recommends and implements procedures and guidelines on data quality audits and investigations to assess data sources, identifying opportunities and gaps.
