Reporting to the President and CEO, the Executive Vice-President, CBC - English Services (EVP), is a key member of CBC/Radio-Canada’s Senior Executive Team, responsible for the strategy and day-to-day leadership of CBC’s English-language services across news, radio, television, and digital platforms. Leading a workforce of over 3,000 employees in a highly unionized environment, the EVP oversees a portfolio that unites creative, editorial, and operational teams to deliver trusted journalism, distinctive entertainment, and meaningful digital experiences. This leader will drive transformation across people, content, and technology. A critical component of this leadership will be to enhance deep collaboration across all media lines, particularly with Radio-Canada - French Services, and to strengthen partnerships with essential corporate groups including Technology and Infrastructure, Legal Services, People and Culture, Finance, and Corporate Development. Furthermore, the EVP will modernize production models, embed diversity and inclusion in decision-making, and ensure CBC remains agile, innovative, and deeply relevant to Canadians in a fast-changing media landscape.
