**Job Summary**

We are looking for an experienced Concrete Laborer to join our team, where they will be responsible for building concrete forms, prepping and pouring concrete using power and hand tools.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assists concrete finishers by laying out framing materials and setting and putting down frames as directed
- Prepares work site for concrete pour, using shovels and other hand tools to backfill area with sub-grade materials and to compact and level work area
- Typical work will involve moving material and forms, demolition, mucking concrete, site cleanup, and other duties as assigned
- Spread the concrete using shovels and rakes
- Be able to build forms and pour concrete
- Should be able to proficiently and artistically use a trowel and other concrete tools
- Performs other duties as needed

**Skills and Requirements**
- High school diploma
- At least 3-years’ proven work experience as a Concrete Laborer /apprenticeship under journeyman/woman in Residential/ Commercial/Industrial Construction
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to perform strenuous tasks with hands
- Must be able to kneel, bend and lift heavy materials
- Must be able to measure accurately and read specifications
- Must be a team player, safety oriented, active listener
- Must have positive attitudes

**PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES**:Physically Fit/ able to handle heavy loads up to 45kg (100lbs). Able to work long hours in standing positions and doing repetitive tasks. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be ok with heights. Enjoy working outdoors

**Salary**: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Red Deer County, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Concrete construction: 3 years (required)
- excavator/skid steer: 3 years (required)
- construction leadership: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (required)
- Class 5 Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 50% (required)
