Musashi Auto Parts Canada Inc. is hiring a Testing Technician Associate to come work in their Test Lab at their Waterloo, ON Research and Development Centre. The Testing Technician is responsible for executing the priority targets of the development strategic plan that are aligned with the targeted opportunities of the regional growth plan. The Testing Technician will leverage internal and external resources to ensure that testing objectives in product, process or supplier development are achieved in support of design and internal requirements. **Qualifications**: - 1 to 3 years of experience in automotive testing, related to Link & Suspension is an asset. - Experience testing automotive components based on customer requirements, as well as testing components to ensure customer’s expectations are met. - Understanding of component production processes and supplier-specific processes. - Strong technical aptitude; working knowledge of laboratory safety, use of measurement devices, and specialized testing equipment - Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Office including MS Project and modelling software including SolidWorks - Ability to develop and maintain schedules to meet customer expectations as well as internal milestones. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to analyze and compile technical reports from performed testing - Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and get results. - Diploma in mechanical engineering technology or a related discipline. **Responsibilities**: - Prepare testing setups according to established standards, both external and internal - Perform testing as instructed from customer specifications and internal specifications - Record and compile data for analysis and compile reports for review and presentation to customers - Maintain testing equipment and schedule calibrations - Design of fixtures and jig setup as required by testing specifications - Assist engineering with project-specific schedules and procedures **Skills and Abilities**: - Excellent planning, time management and collaboration skills. - Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving and organizational skills. - Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse teams, and influence/drive/lead change across functional and business boundaries. - Good project management discipline and skills to manage time, cost and risk. - Continuous improvement focuses on process development and management. - Effective written and oral communication skills; demonstrable ability to convey ideas to a diverse team of people. - Self-starter, flexible & adaptable in a complex & changing work environment, while meeting deadlines Come Join Us - "Go Far Beyond" We're inspired by passionate people who believe in thinking smart and working hard in a harmonious atmosphere to achieve the work they love to fuel the company's global growth.
