**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of the FPGA Engineer include the following:

- All aspects of FPGA design, simulation, verification
- Electronics board design for circuits to interface to and from FPGA components, such as analog, high-speed digital, power systems, and IO interface circuits
- Component selection for FPGA, microprocessor, MPSOC
- Thorough validation of design against component and system requirements
- Lead and participate in engineering design reviews
- Schematic and layout design of PCB electronics will constitute a portion of the job responsibilities, including preparation of Gerber, BOM and other manufacturing files
- Perform board bring-up, debug and troubleshooting with lab equipment
- Electronics board characterization and system level tests
- Manage regulatory compliance and standards certification processes for medical grade electronics hardware
- Prepare documentation including block diagrams, functional specification, test plans and engineering reports
- Work closely with project management, other engineering departments, component suppliers, PCB and contract manufacturing vendors throughout the development phase
- Design and develop Test Fixtures for production of electronics boards
- Support product throughout production, including component obsolescence

**Required Qualifications**:

- 10 years experience in electronics hardware design and FPGA design, preferably with medical imaging technology
- Excellent proficiency in Verilog
- Extensive experience in lab measurement techniques and test equipment
- Practical experience in board bring-up, hardware debug, troubleshooting and testing
- Must have been involved with full product development cycle
- Familiarity with DFT, DFM, and DFA in both FPGA and PCB design techniques
- Proven problem-solving skills to identify root cause of design/product failures
- Familiarity with Allegro/OrCAD Capture and PCB Designer or other schematic and layout tools
- Clear verbal and written communication, time management and self-organization skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

**Bonus Qualifications**:

- Design simulation analysis with Spice, MATLAB or other software tools
- Proficiency in design for EMI compliance
- Experience with embedded C code for Xilinx UltraScale SoC and MCUs
- Experience in design for quality, manufacturability and reliability

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
