**SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Reporting to the Chief People and Purpose Officer, you will, as a member of the management team, be responsible for designing the strategy and processes for internal and external communications in the markets where Ivanhoé Cambridge operates.
You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Ivanhoé Cambridge’s reputation among various stakeholders by promoting the Company’s activities and expanding its influence. You will be tasked with shifting the business’s communications strategy toward a more proactive approach to managing communications and public affairs and will oversee a team of specialists and professionals in internal and external communications. Additionally, you will advise the Chief People and Purpose Officer on reputation and issues management.
In your capacity as Vice-President, you will lead the Public Affairs and Communications team of a dozen seasoned professionals. You will ensure that the team has the right mix of skills and capabilities and establish the roles and responsibilities for each member in an optimal way. You will be responsible for creating a dynamic that engages all members and an environment that is conducive to their ongoing development. You will play a key role in positioning Ivanhoé Cambridge with regard to ESG matters and in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion, values that are central to the organization’s operations and performance over the long term.
You will serve on Ivanhoé Cambridge’s Organization and Execution Comittee, which is responsible for driving various corporate initiatives and ensuring decisions are aligned and cohesive with best practices from both a strategic and an operational standpoint. You will also be in charge of planning and tracking the budget for your business line.
In addition, you will collaborate with colleagues and work to achieve the Company’s objectives, using a teamwork-based and results-driven leadership approach.
**_Main responsibilities include the following:_**
Build on and implement the service offering to suit the needs of various stakeholders. Ensure stakeholders are segmented in a way that allows actions to be grouped in a proactive way (by hierarchy, geography, sector, language, etc.). Monitor international communications and marketing industry trends and initiatives.
Public affairs:
- Oversee the development and implementation of the three-year strategic plan for the Public Affairs and Communications Department, in line with the corporate plan;
- Deploy a fully integrated, measurable and carefully planned communications approach to maximize consistency in messaging across all channels;
- Raise Ivanhoé Cambridge’s visibility in its primary markets, taking into account the complex underlying ecosystem and bearing in mind that the objective is for all external communications initiatives to be implemented internally, with roughly 80% planned in advance and the remaining 20% rolled out on an as-needed basis;
