Loader Operator

**Objective**
As a member of the Scarborough site team, this position will execute the daily tasks of operating and maintaining the loader and site in accordance with Innocon’s Best Practices and Policies.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks or railcars
- Verify amount of aggregate in storage bins and fill hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance (check levels, tires etc.) on loaders
- Participate in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards.
- Follow established environmental procedures to ensure that the plant for which they are working is in compliance with provincial, federal, and local regulations and requirements
- Participate in ongoing minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment
- Work with plant manager and other personnel to prevent and resolve problems as required
**Other duties**
- Manual Labour including but not limited to the hauling of cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags
- Adhere to all Innocon and OSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
**Education & Work Experience**:

- Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Industrial plant operation experiences an asset
- Heavy equipment operation experience
- Some experience in construction, manufacturing is an asset
- Experience in ready-mix concrete is preferred
**Certifications and Specific Knowledge**:

- Specific mobile equipment training
- 950M Operator Training Course (Toromont)
- Confined Space Certification
- Working at Heights Certification
- Mechanical aptitude
- Computer literacy an asset
