**REDIMIX YARD/OPERATOR**

The Redimix Yard Operator at PLP Redimix Ltd. plays a critical role in the productivity and efficiency of operations at PLP Redimix Ltd. and its facilities. The Redimix Yard / Operator plays many critical roles including but not limited to; Equipment Operator, Equipment Maintenance Technician, Facility Maintenance Attendant and General Labourer.

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS**

**The Redimix Yard Operator role includes but not limited to the following duties**:

- Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract required; Class DZ or better considered an asset
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience safely operating various types of heavy equipment
- Ability to safely operate a loader
- Maintain outdoor yard
- Must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times
- Must be able to work outdoors in adverse conditions such as: heat exposure, cold temperatures, rain, snow etc.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position: ability to lift 50 pounds or more, standing for extended periods, kneeling, squatting etc.
- Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends when necessary
- Strict adherence to all industry related safety legislation as well as company specific safety policies/procedures
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and supervisors with other duties as required

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**The Redimix Yard Operator role includes but not limited to the following duties**:

- Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment, depending on the job site, accurately, efficiently and safely
- Must be able to ramp all stock piles and load bins safely and in a timely fashion
- Must be able to assist in the event of equipment breakdown
- Clean up PLP Redimix plant and surrounding yard/facilities
- General warehouse duties
- Organizing material
- Lubricate and perform general maintenance on the equipment
- General yard maintenance
- Cleaning under the Redimix bins as needed
- Various general labour tasks as required
