In April 2024, the Boards of St. Mary’s General and Grand River Hospitals both independently voted in favour of a voluntary merger of the Hospitals to form a new hospital organization. This evolution of our partnership will occur alongside our joint redevelopment work, as we strive to build a new acute care campus in the community. We welcome talent to both St. Mary’s General Hospital and Grand River Hospital that are ready to be part of an exciting, generational change for hospital care in Waterloo Region.
**Please Note**:New employees must provide documentation/proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status, a 2-step TB screening, as well as proof of immunity to measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chickenpox) prior to their start date at St. Mary’s General Hospital. Staff will require clearance from Employee Health and Wellness before they are able to begin any position within SMGH or GRH.

**Position Requirements**:
Accountabilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Managing all aspects of the internal recruitment process to ensure compliance and deliver exceptional team member experience.
- Supports with the administration of ministry programs with guidance from TA leadership team;
- Manages a portfolio of junior and/or high-volume external vacancies, including all administration and services.
- Attends and represents the hospital at career and hiring events and is responsible for coordination of all materials needed for the event.
**Required Qualifications**:
- **Certificate in human resources or related post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and relevant human resources experience**:
- **Applicants with HRPA - Practitioner certification will be given priority consideration**:
- **3 years’ experience required in a recruitment environment, preferably in a healthcare setting**:
- **Confirmed superior customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with all levels of management, team members, union partners and employees**:
- **Excellent communication skills are essential**:
- **Strong administrative skills with keen attention to detail are a must**:
- **Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Powerpoint**:
- **Familiarity with an HRIS system is an asset**:
- **Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with continuous disruptions while maintaining accuracy of work and delivering on deadlines**:
- **Demonstrated tact, diplomacy and discretion required with the ability to deal with highly confidential and sensitive information**:
- **Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team**
