**Job Summary**: The Lifeguard will provide Pool and Water Slide supervision to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment while ensuring adherence to hotel safety policies.Duties and Responsibilities: Safety: Practice strong risk management.Ensure the safety and supervision of patrons in the Pool, Water Slide, and surrounding area.Know and understand all information and procedures for emergency response, site safety, and security.Ensure compliance with the Ontario Health Regulations and all relevant policy and procedures manuals.Participate in emergency drillsOperations: Ensures a safe swimming environment for members and guests through supervision, accident prevention, and rescue skills.Ensures that any equipment used is in place and operational and that the equipment is stored away after use.Executes emergency procedures and uses safety/rescue equipment.Chemical Testing and Balancing when requiredDaily checks of pool furniture to ensure all are in good condition and tidy around the pool area.Daily pickup of clean towels and delivery of soiled towels to the laundry room.Work in accordance with the Hotels Health and Safety guidelinesStandards: Report with your supervisor at start and end of shift for work assignment and updatesAlways maintain professional composure and attitudeBe always mindful and respectful towards other team members and hotel guestsAdherence to all Hotel, health, and safety policiesKnowledge, Skills and Qualifications: Must be 16 years of age or olderMust have a valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificationMust have a current National Lifeguard Service certificationAble to work in a team environment and independentlyExcellent communication skillsMust be safety consciousMust be dependablePunctual, reliable, and in full uniform for every shiftStrong communication, interpersonal and organizational skillsPositive attitude and willingnessPhysical Demands: Lifting and carrying laundry bags ? up to 50 lbs.
