**About the Opportunity**:
The Unit Aide has an important role within the health care team. Reporting directly to the Health Services Manager, the Unit Aide is responsible for ordering, stocking and/or maintaining all supplies and equipment to meet the needs of patients in their designated work area. An understanding of the basic principles of infection control is essential and key to providing a safe environment for patients and staff alike. This role also provides indirect and direct support for patient care.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Grade 12
- Experience in a perioperative environment is a requirement and where this is not available, equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience working with patients within a health care team is preferred
- Experience working with computer programs including SAP, Excel, and Outlook is preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of cleanliness in a hospital
- Ability to establish good relationships
- Good judgement and demonstrated initiative
- Team player with effective communication skills
- Competencies in other languages are an asset, French preferred

**Hours**:

- Permanent Full-Time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$20.03 - $21.58 Hourly
