**About the Opportunity**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) and/or Research Coordinator in implementing study protocols.
- Obtain informed consent from study participants under the supervision of the PI.
- Help arrange and book study appointments, liaising with clinic staff and pharmacy as needed.
- Support data collection efforts by administering questionnaires, recording study data, and compiling study results.
- Carry out basic descriptive statistics and analyses
- Assist in monitoring study timelines and ensuring compliance with protocol guidelines.
- Prepare and maintain study materials, including educational/promotional documents.
- Assist with study expenditures, including monitoring and reconciling expenses.
- Organize and archive study data and documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments, including labs and shared services, to ensure study requirements are met.
- Ensure proper handling and reporting of Adverse Events (AEs) or Serious Adverse Events (SAEs).
- Support research team meetings and contribute to the development of study deliverables

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field required
- Completed post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field preferred
- Two years’ research related experience preferred (Managing prospective clinical trials preferred)
- Relevant clinical experience considered an asset (surgical field preferred)
- Knowledge of bookkeeping preferred
- Demonstrated research and analytical thinking skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to engage with participants and team members
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with research ethics and regulatory requirements (considered an asset)
- A commitment to fostering a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the research environment

**Hours**:

- Full-time, long assignment (75 hours bi-weekly)
- Beginning as soon as possible for approximately 1 year
- This role requires you to be onsite and is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia

**Compensation and Benefits**:
$22.34 - $27.93 hourly

$43,564 - $54,455 annually
