We are currently seeking to fill the full-time Import Supervisor position at our Vancouver branch located in Richmond.
**Position Summary**:
- The Import Supervisor will oversee the coordinating and managing the import of ocean/air shipments._
**Essential Functions**:
- _Coordinates import of ocean/air shipments._
- _Ensures that all documentation is up to date and recorded in tracking systems._
- _Resolves issues and expedites solutions with clients, customs officials, and shippers. _
- _Reports any ongoing issues to manager or head of a unit/department._
- _Distributes work to team members and arrange monthly meetings. _
- _Sets goals for performance deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision._
- _Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching. _
- _Trains and supervises employees._
- _Actively participates in sales process to achieve growth expectations._
**Required Skills/Abilities**:
- _Excellent verbal and written communication skills. _
- _Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills._
- _Excellent sales and customer service skills._
- _Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail._
- _Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate._
- _Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment._
- _Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software._
**Education and Experience**:
- _High school diploma or equivalent._
- 2_+ years experience in freight forwarding/logistics industry is preferred._
- _Must be eligible to work in Canada._
- _Must be fluent in both Korean and English._
**Physical Requirements**:
- _Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer._
**Salary**: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
