**About the Position**

We are currently seeking a IT Specialist to provide first level technical support to internal customers for resolution of reported hardware and software issues. Additionally, perform general administration duties for server/network infrastructure. The IT Specialist must be resourceful in finding solutions to issues and be able to communicate well with all levels in the company.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide in-person and remote support to 4 Canadian Ceva sites (Guelph/Cambridge) as well as remote support to other international sites (US/Australia)
- Work with external vendors when needed to ensure the implementation of the devices. Give feedback and ensure the quality of the concerned solution or service.
- Support devices within the defined scope and ensure they are running smoothly within defined SLAs & the agreed level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all activities are following compliance requirements and escalate in case of deviation. Provide Help Desk support.
- Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
- Document / Track support tickets per company policy.
- Network/System Administration, including:

- Active Directory accounts / rights creation and changes.
- Ethernet cabling, installation and troubleshooting.
- Monitor network health, escalate issues.
- Internal IT Support tasks, including:

- Train End Users on IT systems
- Prepare/Deploy hardware/software for end users.
- Assist on other IT projects as directed by supervisor.

**About You**
- You are customer oriented and pride yourself in providing value added service
- You have an understanding of emerging technologies and how to use them
- You are capable of mastering an IT Domain and will enjoy proposing improvements to systems
- You can manage multiple projects at a time
- You have a post-secondary education in Computer Information Systems or a related field
- You have 2 years of work experience in a corporate help desk setting
