Project Manager/ Estimator, Preventative Maintenance

**About the position**:
Currently, we are seeking an energetic and driven **Electrical** **Project Manager/Estimator** with good customer service skills to join our Power Quality (Preventative Maintenance) team within our Electrical Services group in** Burnaby, BC.**

The Project Manager/Estimator performs a wide range of duties including estimating smaller jobs/projects and repairs, managing service work order and project process flow including scheduling, invoice closeout and customer satisfaction follow up.
- What is Power Quality (Preventative Maintenance)? Preventive maintenance is the regular and routine maintenance of equipment and assets in order to keep them running and prevent any costly unplanned downtime from unexpected equipment failure. Our skilled electricians work with customers to ensure their equipment is up to date and fully functional _

**Project Manager/ Estimator Responsibilities**:

- Identify potential business opportunities with customers,
- Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
- Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
- Manage project financial performance, including billing responsibilities.
- Estimate project costs and changes, and submit tenders,
- Purchase materials and equipment,
- Work with the Power Quality Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to develop Power Quality and Preventative Maintenance work and small project scheduling.
- Manage the project and be present on project sites on a regular basis
- Arrange for project manuals/Power quality reports to be completed
- Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges.

**Project Manager/ Estimator Experience and Skills**:

- Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate,
- 2-3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating,
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills,
- Strong communication skills,
- Electrical High Voltage work would be a strong asset,
- Experience in the Power Quality/Preventative Maintenance field an asset,
- Good computer skills and proficient in MS Office (word, excel, outlook, etc), experience in Accubid and Procore an asset,
- FSR A certificate is an asset,
- Basic knowledge of Arc Flash studies/data analysis, Inferred Scanning, Power Factor improvement, UPS Systems would be an asset.
