**Who we are**:
Since 1997, iHuman Youth Society has engaged Edmonton’s marginalized youth to foster positive personal development, wellbeing, and social change. We are a charity located in Edmonton’s city centre that provides arts programming and support services to youth ages 12-24 who face barriers. All young people are welcome at iHuman. We support youth impacted by the negative outcomes associated with poverty, intergenerational trauma, addiction, mental health, abuse, racism, discrimination, and exploitation. We provide free access to our services and programs, where youth actively engage in determining their individualized journey through our resources and guide how we can support them.

**What is the role**:
We are hiring up to five positions for **Production Assistant Summer Students.** Working with the iHuman team, the Production Assistant will help in any one of iHuman's art mentorship studios. The iHuman studios include Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, Culinary Arts, Fashion Arts, and Sound/Broadcasting Arts studios.
- **Hours of work**:10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on occasion hours outside of these hours
- **Hourly Wage**: $19/hour
- **Start Date**: As soon as possible for up to 15 weeks
- **Location**: 9635 102A Ave NW

**What are the responsibilities**:

- Assist youth participants who are accessing the art studios
- Monitor, assemble, maintain, and/or replace studio supply inventory
- Prepare studio schedules
- Set up equipment, and make logístical arrangements for the delivery or installation of art pieces
- Assist in staging iHuman studio events

**Eligibility for the role**:

- Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
- Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and refugee Protection Act
- Be legally entitled to work in Alberta and Canada

**Qualifications**:

- Student in or graduate of a College, University or Institute program where curriculum includes youth care, human services, arts, culture or other relevant topics
- Any related experience work supporting youth
- Experience in the arts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of organization skills with attention to detail
- Energetic and able to contribute positively within a team environment
- Obtain and have clear criminal record check including the vulnerable sector search and child intervention check
