The Edmonton Humane Society (EHS) has been an animal welfare leader in the Edmonton community since 1907. EHS is a safe haven for thousands of homeless animals each year, providing veterinary treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, care, enrichment and rehoming. Beyond animal sheltering, we engage with the community through various programs and services to support happy, lifelong bonds between people and pets.

**The Role**:
The Summer Student, Administrative Assistant, will support short-term goals across various departments by assisting with administrative tasks, projects, and events. This role is ideal for a student looking to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, mission-driven environment while contributing to organizational success.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**:
Administrative Support
- Organize, scan, and file documents for electronic storage
- Assist with data entry and maintain databases or spreadsheets
- Support short-term departmental projects and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Provide general administrative support to the CEO and Leadership Team
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Education & Requirements**:

- Currently enrolled pursuing a diploma or degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous administrative or office experience (including internships or part-time roles)
- Familiarity with standard office equipment (e.g., copiers, printers)

- ** Compensation**:EHS offers a competitive not-for-profit compensation.
