Claims Adjuster

**Opportunity**:
**Are you customer service oriented? Do you enjoy highly analytical and investigative work? If so, Millennium Insurance is looking to add an Auto Physical Damage (PD) Adjuster to their dynamic team**:
**Reporting to the Auto PD Claims Supervisor, the Auto PD Adjuster will be responsible for investigating and assessing automotive insurance claims to determine coverage, liability and settlement amounts.**:
**What you will be doing**:

- **Investigate automotive insurance claims by gathering relevant information, including accident reports, policy coverage, and statements from involved parties.**:

- **Determine liability by reviewing policy terms and conditions and assessing accident circumstances.**:

- **Communicate with claimants, policyholders, and other relevant parties to provide updates, explain claim resolutions, and negotiate settlement amounts.**:

- **Ensure accurate documentation of claims, including reports, photographs, estimates, and settlement agreements.**:

- **Collaborate with internal teams, such as underwriters and legal advisors, to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.**:

- **Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to auto claims handling and settlements.**:

- **Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and assisting with claims-related queries.**:
**What you bring to the team**:

- **Minimum of one (1) year of auto claims handling experience.**:

- **Post-secondary education and/or CIP designation are considered an asset.**:

- **Knowledge of automobile insurance policies, coverage options and claims procedures best practices.**:

- **Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with claimants, policyholders, and other stakeholders.**:

- **Proficient computer skills, including experience with claims management software and MS Office Suite.**:

- **Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate information and make informed decisions.**:

- **High level of attention to detail, organization skills and ability to prioritize tasks.**:

- **High degree of emotional intelligence and empathy.**:
