Reporting to the Manager, Infrastructure, the Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and administering all initiatives for the Payworks campus and data centers. The Infrastructure Analysts specialize in diagnosing and solving problems for complex computer systems. They find the solutions to complex problems in large computer networks, including network communications errors, storage problems, and malfunctioning server platforms by using their computer languages and operations knowledge. They monitor networks systems’ performance to identify any issues and routinely perform analysis during regular IT infrastructure operations, including networks, firewalls, server, and devices. They work with the IT team to determine appropriate solutions for network issues and to mitigate future issues.
The Infrastructure Analysts work closely with the Information Security team to ensure the plan follows security procedures.

**CONFIGURE, ANALYSE AND SUPPORT**- IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO***:
- ** Design and develop infrastructure management -**As a key member of the Infrastructure team, you will plan, design, and implement complex virtualization environments. Monitor and maintain the organization’s server, storage systems, and network & firewall infrastructure and assist in capacity planning and scalability assessments.
- ** Configure and administer -**You will lead in the preparation of complex infrastructure and large-scale virtualization and hybrid cloud projects as well as configure and manage servers, including operating system installations, updates, and patches.
- ** Monitor and provide network support -**You will provide advanced level technical support, administration, and troubleshooting activities; ensure network security by implementing and maintaining firewall rules and intrusion detection systems and assist in designing and implementing network infrastructure improvements.
**WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, Telecommunications or another related field.
- Senior or expert level experience in VMware vSphere infrastructure (ESXi/vCenter).
- 3+ years of experience in VMware Horizon and vSan.
- Experience with implementing and managing Storage Area Networks (SAN) with iSCSI protocol.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, IIS and SQL servers.
- Experience with implementing and managing firewall infrastructure and security products (Palo Alto, Sophos, Check Point etc.)
- Experience with managing and supporting advanced switching and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP etc.)
- Virtual network infrastructure design maintenance and support.
- Previous experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning is considered an asset.
