Verathon® is looking for a Production Supervisor to become the newest member of our Operations Team located in Burnaby, British Columbia. This is Supervising the Swing Shift hours from 3:30pm to midnight, Monday through Friday.

The VMCA Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising & mentoring the Production Leads, assist in coaching & directing the Production Technicians, Production Technician training & training records, monitoring quality, maintaining quality metrics and developing process improvement activities. In cooperation with the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining production efficiencies and product yields, based on company goals and objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Uphold the VMCA Company Mission and Core Values
- Lead the Production Technicians & Production Team Leads
- Support VMCA’s Quality Management System that establishes and maintains effective quality assurance processes and compliance to the International Standards: ISO13485, Canadian Medical Device Regulations (CMDR, SOR 98-292), FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR, 21 CFR Part 820) and the Medical Device Directive (MDD93/42/EEC)
- Ensure the Production areas are maintained in an organized and tidy manner
- Engage in professional communications with all VMCA team members
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff with respect to duties and responsibilities
- Facilitate and support consistent communication to ensure the Production Team can make well informed decisions
- Document staff training to meet quality regulations and production standards
- Maintain training records of new and current employees on SOP’s, Assembly Procedures, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs)
- Work with Production Manager to prioritize the production build schedule
- Maintain individual and departmental productivity standards, metrics, and PTO
- Monitor product quality and ensure proper documentation of quality issues
- Develop processes to improve productivity (i.e. flexible manufacturing)
- Lead manufacturing problem resolutions (i.e. labor standards, line balancing)
- Engage employees to create a friendly & productive environment
- Assist Production Manager in implementing Lean Manufacturing
- Assemble and test products as per documented procedures
- Responsible for learning new assignments quickly and effectively

Qualifications:

- 3+ years of intermediate to senior manufacturing experience in electro-mechanical industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/mechanical discipline or 2+ years of experience required
- Strong supervisory, leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to read and follow procedures
- Ability to meet required deadlines
- Demonstrated detail and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office software
- Ability to quickly learn new software
- Knowledge and skill in Lean Manufacturing Techniques a benefit
- Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
- Ability to lift to 20-50 lbs., as needed
- Salary range - CDN $29.79 - $46.97 (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location. If this position is filled outside the Greater Vancouver, BC area, this salary range will vary depending on the specific hiring location.)_
