POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC’s Business enablement team is looking for top talent The incumbent will be a key collaborator in the team by acting as a Specialist who will lead the proposal and quote processes, negotiate vendor contracts, manage key vendor relationships, and oversee strategic procurement for the Operations team. The contributor will be a great communicator with stakeholders and lead negotiations.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET-
- Proactively lead strategic reviews of business needs across the Operations team and identify opportunities to leverage purchasing power within the organization if opportunities arise to consolidate services from current vendors.- Lead the recommendation and propose appropriate exceptions to the COO and CEO as required.- Lead the negotiation and drafting of vendor contracts and external service-level agreements, ensuring they meet business requirements.- Provide requirements to the legal and procurement departments as well as relevant stakeholders to include necessary documentation and clauses in contracts.- Build strategic roadmap with regards to solution enhancements, new vendor/product offering to align with BDC strategy.- Oversee market scans for alternate vendors and pilot new technological programs for services that could be fulfilled by existing vendors.- Administer strategic contracts effectively and ensure vendor performance meets requirements.- Maintain strong vendor relationships, resolve issues, and negotiate changes when needed.- Centralize sourcing for most of Operations and conceptualize dashboards to gain efficiency in managing contracts.- Develop comprehensive budgets for key vendors in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and communicate the data to the finance department.- Lead and orchestrate solution implementation, training, and communication with internal stakeholders, establishing clear roles and responsibilities.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, major in Accounting or in Finance, in Project Management, in Computer Science, or in any relevant field- Between 5-7 years in a similar role- Designation such as CPA, PMP or any relevant designation are considered an asset- Excellent communication skills and capacity to influence stakeholders- Excellent to manage deadlines and great organization skills- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, such Excel, SharePoint and Word- Bilingualism in English and in French
