**About Us**:At Happy Hearts Counselling Services, we are dedicated to providing a safe and therapeutic space for individuals struggling with mental health and/or life challenges. We empower our clients to overcome life challenges by using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Psycho-educational counselling, and talk therapy. Happy Hearts Counselling Services provides individual, family, & couples counselling services, as well as parent coaching. We work with kids as young as 5 years old to older adults. We are person-centred, as we believe that what works for one person is unique to what works for another.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide individual, couple, or family therapy sessions virtually
- Conduct comprehensive intake and develop personalized treatment plans
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, while being client-centered
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
- Assist with planning, developing, and executing our 5-day summer program (This program focuses on emotional regulation, confidence building, and more)
- Co-facilitate the 5-day summer program at a client’s home in Toronto, Ontario
- Must be available to do in-person from August 25th to August 29th, 2025 (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) - A stipend of $10 per day will be provided to compensate for mileage
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision and case consultations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals when necessary
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines of practice in accordance with the CCPA and other governing bodies
- Stay current with continuing education and best practices in mental health treatment
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned, in alignment with the needs of the practice and scope of the role

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Master’s degree (or higher) in Counselling Psychology, Mental Health Counselling, Social Work, or a related field. (Open to students working towards their Master’s degree)
- Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)
- Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) certification is an asset
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience
- Access to high-speed internet and a private workplace to maintain confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
- Culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach to counselling
- Training will be provided to use an electronic health record system and virtual therapy platform - Must be a fast learner
