Nova Mental Health is a psychology clinic for children, youth and adults in North Vancouver. We primarily treat anxiety, OCD, ADHD, Tics, trauma, and depression.
**Job description**
Nova Mental Health is a busy, fee-for-services, mental health clinic located in North Vancouver, British Columbia (currently only doing sessions online). We are seeking a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Registered Psychologist or Registered Social Worker specialized in the area of OCD.
Clinicians at our clinic are passionate about client care and provide evidence-based psychological services ( (e.g,. cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, trauma-informed care, supportive parenting for anxious childhood behaviour SPACE). We strive to create a supportive, collaborative, and warm team environment and provide our clinicians with training, consultation, peer supervision, and resources. We provide individual and group therapy.
**Location**:
We are located in North Vancouver at the Lonsdale Quay (right next to the ferry terminal). However, a current benefit is that clinicians are able to work from home or see clients in our beautiful office. We do hope to return to the office soon. Note that clinicians with Nova Mental Health operate as independent contractors (“associates”).
**Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Registered Clinical Counsellor with BCACC or Registered Psychologist (or eligible for registration as an R.Psych), specialized in working with clients with OCD using evidence-based approaches.
- MA, MSW, MEd, PhD, or PsyD
- Two years of recent related experience in therapeutic, diagnostic/assessment, and consultation services in the areas of mental health
- Experience and training in the area of OCD using evidence-based treatments is a must
- Ability to work in a team environment, flexibility, and strong written and oral communication skills
- Professional autonomy
- Willing to commit to 6-month renewable contract, with interest in becoming a long-term member of our established practice
