**Policy Student (Contract)**

The Halton Regional Police Service is currently seeking one (1) energetic, collaborative and innovative individual to join our Policy Team as a Summer Student from May to August. 2025

**About the Role - How you will Contribute to the Service**:
The Policy Student will assist in reviewing and modifying HRPS policies. This includes: identifying, evaluating and managing policy related changes/issues. In this role you will review and track changing laws, legislation, court decisions, provincial adequacy standards and best practices in policing while ensuring the changes are reflected in Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) policy. Other duties may be assigned.

Note: The successful applicant will need to pass a background check to the satisfaction of the Service which will include reference checks with previous employers, verification of educational program enrollment, and a criminal background screen.

**Hourly Rate**:This is a paid student position starting at $20.11 per hour for a four-month term (May to August 2025) contract

**Working Hours**: 35 hours per week: Monday - Friday. This position is based out of our Oakville Headquarters facility which is located at the QEW and North Service Road West.
